Ok no problem. If you ever get to see the part 2 of this which is Misha NYR 25-26 it shows the complete roster for 25-26 and we do not go over the salary cap

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdli</b></div><div>OK, Let's go step by step. Your 2024-25 roster has 21 players with a CAP Hit of $87,386,404, Overages of $512,500, Bonuses of $532,500, and available CAP space of $313,596, For 2025 26 the Cap ceiling goes to $92,000,000. $61,374,404 is already committed. You have $30.625,596 remaining to pay the following players If you give Igor $10,000,000 for eight years; you have $20.625,596 left. Let say we give Lafrenière $5,000,000 for three years; $15.625,596 left. If you pay K'Andre $6.000,000 for whatever term, you have $9.625,596 left. You still have the following 8 players unsigned. Ill stop there and reiterate that the numbers don't work!
- Quick
- Domi
- Cuylle
- Rempe
- Vesey
- Chychrun
- Martinez
- Jones</div></div>
Heres a link to my 25-26 roster which fits the cap space perfectly. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/edit/5204528

How? We don't go over the cap space?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>emoprettyboy</b></div><div>so a guy worth a 2nd and a couple “idk maybe they could be 2nd liners” for Brady Tkachuk. got it</div></div>
Brady is a very good player don't get me wrong, but you Sens fans are acting like he is Mcdavid. I mean I assume you would want what Laf, Schneider, Othmann, Perault and 2 1sts for him, I mean that's just absurd. Chytil, Kakko, Lindgren (who is better right now than Schnieder) and Goodrow are all quality players for the presidents cup team, if they went to a rebuilding team like the Sens there play would develop further as they would be big options for the Sens. I mean if you would look at something similar that would be the trade for Matthew who is better than Brady going into that offseason. That trade included a star, quality defenseman and pick. I would prefer the trade of those four players, with prospects and 1st rather than something like Kreider or Zibenajad, Lindgren and a 1st for Brady.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>emoprettyboy</b></div><div>genuine question: which part of that trade do you consider to be a “good main piece” in a trade for brady tkachuk?</div></div>
Chytil and Kakko are two solid young players who if healthy are capable of being a solid number 2 liner on a contending team. IMO if they were on the Senators the two of them would combine for 30-40 goals and 70-90 points. Lindgren is a warrior and is expected to get anywhere between $4-5M or a second round pick. Lastly Goodrow is a veteran who can really help the young players on that team and he is clutch which was shown in this years playoffs. These are all quality players who can make a solid impact on a rebuilding team like the Sens.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdli</b></div><div>Igor is obvious, but he is looking for $$12M. We can't do Henrik again. We already have the Breadman and Trouba on the books.
Agree on Miller who personally I would be looking to move. Just when Laffy turns the corner, you want to launch him out of the torpedo tube. I've been a Ranger fan for almost 70 years, and I've watched this movie many times; J.T Miller and Pavel Buchnevich are recent examples. I'm for bringing up Brennan Othmann too. You still haven't addressed how you are going to manage the 25-26 CAP.</div></div>
I made a 25-26 Rangers. The salary cap is at $92M because that's what its supposed to rise up to in 25-26 season

Obviously we would keep Igor as he is the best/ most valuable on team, Miller is iffy he was not great in the playoffs and could easily be replaced and Laffy has had only one great season and you have to have trust in prospects like Gabe and Othmann

Why? Whats the problem with it. Were signing a guy that's going to get forty goals, and were trading for two stars for what I think is a fair package and we are not going over the cap space
