Please No Silayev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McPasta8873</b></div><div>Myers no, Myers is offensive and very soft for his size which is complete opposite of Silayev. He’s a pure shutdown dman who has no problem hitting people.
Zadorov makes sense maybe he could become a bigger/ more physical Brodin.
Anaheim also doesn’t need smaller offensive and soft dman anymore they have zellweger/ mintyukov for that and they have luneau for the 2 way play now they need a pure shutdown guy.
In my opinion Silayev or Dickinson are the best fit for them</div></div>
I would have said he could become a smooth-skating Chara or an elite version of Zadorov if he can develop his offensive game. Worst case is probably Zadorov without the offense, but I suspect he'll be better defensively.
I agree that they should take Silayev or Dickinson. Lindstrom at 3 wouldn't be crazy, but they already have Carlsson and his skill set is covered by McTavish but maybe they could use another top 6 C, since it seems like Zegras, McTavish, and Gauthier are all going to be wingers.

Askarov is gonna get a LOT more than that, especially if he’s traded in division
Also, why do the Preds want Georgiev at all here?

If we go for Mcgroarty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McPasta8873</b></div><div>Different situations dach and newhook were struggling. Mcgroarty isn’t struggling he just doesn’t want to sign anymore.</div></div>
that's not really a fair understanding.
He's willing to sign he just wants playing time and WIPG won't give it to him.
I don't blame him really. To many teams with too much F..ery to these prospects. Just look at Wright in SEA right now. He should have started at some point last year. They kept him from earning a decent check he was more than ready.
McGroarty not having any of it.
What I do know is if he goes back to school this year, he's only got 1 year left till he's a FA. So WPG has to move him now, as next year, they lose a lot of leverage.

Askarov
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McPasta8873</b></div><div>
Askarov is their future, they may resign Saros but Saros sat behind Rinne for quite a bit before taking over and I think that’s what Nashvilles plan is with askarov. Always helps to have a good mentor.</div></div>
This is 100% NSH's current plan. Saros sat behind Rinne for 3-4 years before truly splitting the net with him for another 1-2. All in all a 5-6 year transition from Rinne to Saros. NSH is going to try to lock up Saros for that 5-6 years and then either trade him like how Markstrom is being dealt now or have Saros transition to back-up role when he is 34-35. Askarov takes over as starter around 25-26.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arab05</b></div><div>All McPasta is saying is if you want Askarov then you are going to have to overpay. His trade proposal is accurate because Nashville in no way is wanting to trade their future #1 goalie.</div></div>

Detroit would have to offer probably 15OA+Danielson or ASP+a mid rd pick for them to consider.
If they are losing on goalie depth they will want to fix a different area of need which is a top 6 C or top 4 RHD prospect</div></div>
NSH would require an overpay to get Askarov. If either goalie gets moved it is going to be Saros more likely because they can't agree on contract stuff. But with Cossa in system for DET, I really don't think they need Askarov. Will Askarov likely be a better goalie? Yes. Will Cossa be a bad goalie worthy of replacing? No, and far from it.

I really like the Carlo fit for ANA. But coming off a bottom 3 standings finish, it just feels silly to move Zegras with 2 years on an RFA deal for Carlo who’s ‘a 3 years remaining would take him to UFA right when ANA is starting to make a real push
Didn’t pay much attention to Lysell but his stats look fine
Either way, props to OP for adding value and players who are in positions of need for ANA in something original

Agreed, but that should be a hard pass for Van. Pretty good roster but missing RD depth. Tanev will get hurt and then it all unravels.

I don't think it's desperate... I've been banging the Yakemchuk drum to Ottawa the whole time. It's unpopular but I like the every situation potential vs specialty player in Parekh. The offense difference is minimal.
I think sens would rather trade Chychrun for a roster player than prospect and pick

Not to nitpick too much, but I agree Lindstrom isn’t likely to fall to #10. I can’t see him dropping past Utah - if you look at the way they build their roster, they draft a lot of size. Parekh doesn’t have that element. Lindstrom does, hard to see them not taking him if he’s available

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McPasta8873</b></div><div>If Nuge and Ullmark were to waive Boston would definitely do this.
Nuges playstyle would fit all to well with pastrnak.
He may not be a 1C but he’s definitely a high end 2C I don’t think he’s a significant upgrade over coyle but I just don’t think coyle and pastrnak styles mesh. Pastrnak needs a faster Center with a pass first mentality.
I’m really hoping Boston can make a big move for pastrnak.
The guy has had 2 100 point seasons with the likes of Zacha/Heinen/Geekie/hall/bertuzzi/Krech being his 5v5 linemates.
Zacha/Heinen/Geekie are middle 6 players, bertuzzi was a great fit and we had the ghosts of hall and krech. I genuinely want to see what could be if pastrnak was given 2 high end linemates</div></div>
Doubt this trade would happen but I'd take RNH, Coyle doesn't center pasta though, but I'm hoping we get Lindholm to help out Pasta
