Different situations dach and newhook were struggling. Mcgroarty isn’t struggling he just doesn’t want to sign anymore.

As a Habs fan, I'd love to get McGroarty, but this offer doesn't get it done.
Not enough for Winnipeg.

This offer gets beaten easily. A small winger and late pick in a weak draft doesn’t move the needle

Personnally, I would say that it does. It appears as though the Jets are looking for a RD.
And Mailloux is sete to play his first full season in the NHL this year, after having an All-Star season in the AHL as a rookie.
The 2nd round pick could be for 2025.

@jgimp69 : that looks like a fair value for you?

In a vacuum probably. In the state of affairs that we currently see society, the NHL, HFBoards and what not? No, there would be a melt down.

Mailloux would easily step into a B pairing role. He would also give us a good 2PP option probably working his way into a T4 role by the end of the season allowing Salomonsson to roll into a injury/call up/Bottom pairing roll.
Whether Chevy would accept Logan given his past is another story.
Either way, both McG and Logan are NHL starters who look like they would track relatively alike.

that's not really a fair understanding.

He's willing to sign he just wants playing time and WIPG won't give it to him.

I don't blame him really. To many teams with too much F..ery to these prospects. Just look at Wright in SEA right now. He should have started at some point last year. They kept him from earning a decent check he was more than ready.

McGroarty not having any of it.

What I do know is if he goes back to school this year, he's only got 1 year left till he's a FA. So WPG has to move him now, as next year, they lose a lot of leverage.
