Montreal isn't giving up Jacob Fowler, and I don't think that they're giving up Arber Xhekaj without a fight, either.

I figured as much, but went for the hail mary with Gaudreau being a local and the fact that he can be buried for under a 1M if there isn't' a bounceback year.
Makes sense though, I wouldn't do it from MTLs perspective either.

Sharks could come out with 7 picks from this deal.
Picks are like gold for the Sharks at this point.</div></div>
Sorry, but it’s going to take at least 1 premium asset (late 2nds don’t count) to take that Campbell contract.

The Karlsson deal where he got the 14th overall pick in this draft as well as Granlund who was very good for us this year? What is your other example of Grier getting “burned”?

Not remotely.
We have 0 use for rossi we would rather have the wpg 1st
Theres no dman at 13 whos a material improvement on guhle projection wise and they have to hit to even be at guhles level. Theres 0 incentive to take that gamble.

Rossi and Guhle Revisited
Seems like a horrible trade for Montreal. Guhle may not end up as good as Brodin but he projects as a similar style player in a top 4 role. They also aren't close enough to contending to make a move like this and Anderson, while overpaid is not hurting them that bad cap wise.

Rossi and Guhle Revisited
That's not happening, sorry. Guhle is worth a decent bit more than the difference between Anderson and Brodin, and I don't really think MTL would be too interested in moving down that much, even if it is to get Rossi (although it wouldn't be impossible)

MTL rejected 15th, 24th, and Askarov for Reinbacher, pretty sure as hell they aren't going to trade Reinbacher and Roy for Saros, who is definitely worth a lot less than Askarov

Even with an extension MTL wouldn’t consider, and for the OP MTL didn’t want Askarov ++ for Reinbacher

yea but there lies the same problem with gm, he'll probably make the mistake of resigning stamkos instead of defense

That Guhle/Perfetti proposal is one of those deals where both fan bases say NO because they think their player is worth more than the other.
The deal almost makes sense. I just can’t see who plays 25ish min/g on the first pairing with Matheson if we deal Guhle.

Guhle impact aren’t quantifiable with stats. He ain’t being move because you need this kind of defenseman to win. Guhle is a horse who can shutdown top opponents. Guhle will play 22-25 min a night. Perfetti will get 17-19 if he reach full potential. Guhle impact the game in much more aspect than Perfetti who absolutely need to put point if he want to stay in the line up. Perfetti skating is still a issue. We have Joshua Roy who is a very similar player. Both have high hockey IQ but they are both not fast skater. I love Perfetti since is OHL debut but top pairing defenseman are so hard to found you don’t trade them.

Guhle is a top pairing D man at 22, Perfetti is a struggling injury prone middle 6 forward, who do you think is easier to replace?
Hint: it's not Guhle
