Having fun
I like it all but the return for Novak. Not a lot of difference between our 2nd and the Rags 1st in term of value in this draft. I’m in favor of moving Novak; in my mind this trade indicates that he has no value. I think we could get a second round pick for him at least from some team out there right? Also, I think Kaner is probably headed back to the Hawks, but I like this forward line up of running 4 scoring lines.

Preds fans are they actually gonna trade saros
I think Saros is going to want a max deal for a goalie, so being we have Askarov, I hope we trade him for some assets and sign Lanky for 3-4 years at 3-3.5 as a bridge.

Nashville Post-McDonagh

You're probably right, and from the Preds, our team and organizational greatest depth is at wing. Paying 11 million for a scoring winger when you have Colton Sissions as your second line center doesn't make sense, and I think a Saros for Marner trade really doesn't help the Preds in the grand scheme of things. Is Marner worth a haul.... sure he is to me at a 8million AAV....at 11...meh. I'd pass and throw the bulk of that money to Stamkos in UFA, and then the Preds don't give up assets and actually fills an organizational need.

I support this roster. Minor change of MdD and Zadarov. If I’m playing Moley in the lineup, I’d have him with McD. Even though Zadarov is a vet, he’d be learning a new system. Zads out there for Josi protection too.

Kings - Preds
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>Dubious at 8.5 million was a stretch for his production when he signed his contract. Now coming off a miserable season where he looks disinterested half the time and getting ready to have trade protections kick in, nashville will not trade for him.
Trotz just traded out the older version of PLD last summer at 50% retained for future considerations and bought out Duchene to completely change the culture in Nashville. PLD would put them right back where it was. Doesnt make sense.</div></div>
Agree with the premise of this post; however, to compare PLD to Matty Duchene is a bit unfair to Duchene in my view.

As long as the Devils give him market value, I would think Saros would extend. We need a center, and I know Stammer hasn’t played center in a couple of years, but it’s not as if he forgot how to play the position right?

I’d love Savoie; Buffalo fans what would it take to Grt a Savoie Saros trade as the sweetener? The 2nd probably doesn’t get it done probably. Like the team though.

Preds Rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Mercer is not a trade option though. Holtz may be available…his name is out there a bit this year.
Below is what I said I recent thread to another fan that asked about the two:
Mercer gets the 4th most ice time if any of our forwards. Plays wing and center. Plays defensive situations and offensive situations. Plays PK and PP. Plays in hard areas and in open ice. Has never missed a game. Is loved by teammates and coaches.
Holtz plays wing, has great offensive skills and instincts. Has struggled a bit with turnovers in bad areas at times. Is an elite shooter/finisher. Plays mostly fourth line minutes (to the frustration of many devils fans). While he is liked by our GM (and by Andrew Brunette last year), Lindy Ruff has never seemed to be a big fan. Result is he gets moved up and down lineup, and confidence swings are obvious.
Very different players and Mercer much more highly valued than Holtz for our needs. Holtz will probably end up putting up higher point totals, but is the guy we probably would be more likely to move. During Meier negotiations last year, Fitzy took Mercer off the table altogether. And when asked about Holtz, he reportedly said, “if Holtz, only Holtz”. San Jose opted for the larger package instead.</div></div>
So if you pull out Mercer and add Holtz, would you do it?
