Sorry this is just stupid. Why not trade Marner for his brother while you're at it? You would think after signing Thornton, Spezza and Gio after their prime toronto would learn. But apparently the "learned" they should add overpaying to the mix. Doubt its gonna work boys lol

He’s gonna LTIR or even retire. I read that since it’s before his 35th bday he can retire with zero cap recapture penalties. So they gave him term to lower the AAV.
