New Young Guys

Created by: Playday8714
Team: 2024-25 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 19, 2024
Published: Jun. 19, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Roughly 37 million to sign Faber, Wallstedt, Rossi, Holtz, Marat, and Guhle next year. They would all be relatively the same age as well.

Not too sure on the NJD deal but if MIN acquired Guhle, it would make Brodin much more expendable. I just know they are another LHD away from being a very serious contender with an answer in net.

Trevor Connelly @ 21, EJ Emery @ 26.

Faber - 8x9m
Guhle - 8x7m
Rossi - 8x5m
Wall - 3x3m
Marat - 2x1.5m
Holtz - Not sure, if it doesn't work out. Lots of cap space to pay a premier 2nd line winger.

MTL aren't interested in moving Guhle(who they see as a core piece) nor would they want Gaudreau so I just moving up to the middle of the 1st round is well short of the price MTL would consider.

That’s far off value for MTL. MTL are 100% not trading him for a pick that won’t guarantee one of the top LDs, let alone add another pick on top of that

what is up with those terrible Minnesota/Mtl deals today wtf.

Its Boldy for Ghule + WPG first
that's the only deal MTL would consider.

Sharks aren't just taking your bad players for free, send a pick with merrill and a deal could be arranged.

You afre putting Guhle as your #1 LD. So even YOU know that he is worth a ton.
He's 22 years old and has a TON of skills.
Habs easily pass.

Cheers buddy smile

If the Wild can find a younger, bigger, meaner, and nastier replacement for Brodin, they would be morons not yo trade him!!

Do you think Guhle is that? If so, why not trade Middleton then and run:

Brodin-Faber
Guhle-Spurgeon
Chisholm-Bogosian

?

I wasn’t even going to bother. I don’t think Boldy and Guhle are even remotely close to being similar value.

If MTL plans to take Dickinson at #5, they would have Dickinson, Hutson, and Xhekaj as their LHD future. Which would make Guhle a valuable, expendable asset. I think what I proposed is fair for both sides and helps both. The Gaudreau part was just messing around because I knew he is from Quebec.

Because I think Brodin holds more trade value to address our second line winger hole in the roster.

Alex Holtz is not the guy I would be targeting then.

Someone who is actually a 2nd line player. Necas would be a good target, especially since he’s right handed.

I think Guhle would make a great long-term replacement for Brodin, yes.
What plus Middleton would the Habs give up Guhle for?

Trade Middleton instead of Brodin? Because Brodin is way better than Middleton…

Brodin wasn’t traded for Guhle in this ACGM

I would trade Brodin in a heartbeat (for an equitable return)! In fact, I would be shopping him actively! He’s a non-physical, positional defender completely reliant on his legs and head to play his position. If (when) he loses even a 1/4 of a step, he will be NHL-average at best. Smart GMs trade these players before the decline while they still have value.
