Description
A few tweaks to set up the push to get to the SC. Contrary to what everyone is saying, I would keep Goodrow but only for one more year. I have Rempe in as the 13th forward but I would bring up Edstrom whenever possible to play that 4C to get experience and eventually slot in for 25-26. The player that we need to move is Trouba. I love the physical way he plays but we can't afford him and his play has been slipping. I think that our next Captain would be Trocheck. How he played this year and how he consoled Shesterkin at the end speaks volumes. The one forward I would pursue to play on the Zibanajed line would be Kane. I would pitch him the chance to get another ring. Only one year though, as ultimately we would like to see Perreault in that spot for 25-26. If you can't get Kane, I would sweeten the Trouba deal to aquire Vatrano back for one more year. I would bridge Schneider for 2 at $3M and look to sign Lindgren for 3 at $4M. I would look to see if we could sign Pesce as a FA for 4 at $5M. I would give Othmann an opportunity to make the Team and set him up on the third line with Chytil and Kakko. I think the moves here will give us a little cap space to accumulate toward the TDL. This also sets up some flexibility to extend Shesterkin for 6 at $10.5M and Lafreniere for 8 at $7M while allowing room for both Miller and Jones extensions.

Kane doesn’t solve their problems and would get ran over by a physical team such as the Panthers

No need to give up a pick in the 30s to get trouba, wed give you a third and call it charity.

No, we're not giving up a second for Jacob Trouba, especially pick #35.

Might get a second from someone for Trouba with retention, but not taking on the full 8x2.

Kane absolutely solves that line's problems. Both Kreider and Mika need someone to create and pass to them to improve their 5v5 performance. The Rangers need to be careful not to break up a good thing in the Trocheck line to help Kreider and Zib. It may make the overall team worse. The trick is to find a short term solution so as not to hinder Perreault's eventual spot. I would love Marchesault but I don't think he will sign for a short term.

Kane has played with them and it didn’t change anything lol and spare me the “he was playing on 1 hip” crap

They should break up Mika and Kreider and spread the wealth otherwise it’s gonna be a 1 line team again with Panarin trocheck Laffy carrying

Pesce's number is likely 6M if not more.

So your solution is to make it easier for the Panthers next year to shut down the Rangers by creating one scoring line of Panarin, Zib and Laf. Then Kreider, Trocheck and Kakko? That second line would not be a good line offensively. You want to discount Kane's injury but you are willing to break up the Top 5 and bring up Brett Berard who is 5'9" and 155 to play on a third line.

That may be true and then I would not consider it.

Clearly you haven’t seen Berard play enough to know what you’re talking about lmao

Also, if Mika and Kreider can’t produce at 5v5 with those respective players, then the rangers aren’t gonna win ****. They are part of the problem and they’ve gone through like 20 RWs to see who can help them
