thats a pretty terrible trade for Car, i think there over valuing Necas a bit but that trade makes no sense. 3rd line winger whos overpaid for a 2/3C whos paid less but is also 10 years younger and a top prospect? weegar is good but def not worth all that and a bad contract swap

Us Canes fans are actually debating the merits of Weegar for Necas on our boards right now. The Weegar extension is an odd duck as far as UFA contracts are concerned.
It was signed in the flat cap era, is currently a significant overperformer relative to his cap hit, and has a strong chance of continuing to over-perform over the next 4 seasons, at least, as the cap keeps going up.

I'm actually not as down on the KK contract compared to the conventional wisdom, but if I'm going to do a contract swap, a veteran player that's famous for postseason excellence a la Barclay Goodrow, except far more skilled, is IMO not a bad choice for a team whose goal is to get over the hump.

Some people think that's too much for Ferraro, but I recently heard he was seeking even more. I think this is probably about right for his current age and cap hit. I would accept this and really try to use it to move up for Buium or Parekh.

Makes tons of sence for the Bruins as soon as they have traded Ullmark!

I remember when vladdy was ranked a higher prospect then swayman and I was very concerned when we traded him then we might have made the wrong choice. I was very wrong lol. I wouldn’t mind a reunion though, I liked vladdy and he was decent for us in providence and played with sway for a little bit so maybe they could have some chemistry
Jayk liked this.
