I meant the blues say no. Value wise I think it’s good! But it just makes no sense for the blues to trade a top pair Dman and a first line winger for Marner.

I also don’t think the leafs should trade Marner. I think they should resign him and use JTs cap to get better

You can take Parayko or Buch out of the Blues trade and they still say no

Marner has got to be the worst playoff performer OAT, I don't honestly see why anyone would take him.

I would be happy as a leafs fan for a marner for buch 1 for 1, just anything different than running it back

He leads the Leafs in playoff points. If you think his playoff production is an individual thing and not a direct result of management failing to put together a well-balanced roster, then not sure what to say.

Not everything is about stats. I'm not sure you guys watch the few leafs games during the playoffs, but he is bad bad, he doesn't back check like he used to and players like matthews and nylander are just disappointing all around

I think all your stars were pretty disappointing this year. But calling marner the worse is what I was commenting on. Only knock I have on marner is how he views his contract. I think he is overpaid now and will be overpaid on his next contract. I think he’s worth 10 max

That's the unfortunate reality of playing in a league that has a hard hard cap. He could have a 12.5 million dollar cap hit and still make less than Tkachuk because of taxes. IMO, it's a clear issue that should be fixed.
If you don't think this is true, just look at Nylander's contract: 11.5 for the next 8 years is 92 million. For any other team in the league to match that 92 million dollar number, they'd have to pay him 13 million dollars a year because they are limited to 7 years. No team is doing that, and Nylander and the Leafs know that. They aren't stupid. The cap hit had to be made higher because of taxes. Period. And it's an embarrassment.

And I understand you're saying that he's worth 10 max because he doesn't perform relative to what other players make, but there's just nothing the Leafs can do about the taxes. He will make less than 10 million a year on his next contract, no matter the cap hit.
