Zegras isn't available for a grab bag of spare parts and a cap dump.

You're looking at a player taken in the second round, another second and a first. Not exactly a bag of pucks offer especially for a rebuilding team.

You may view this offer as insulting. I view it as a massive overpay for a guy who is constantly in trade rumors because the current GM can stand him and he only tries hard when he gets to play offense.

Atrocious undervaluation of Trevor Zegras.

That's not my opinion, it's yours -- you have him on the second line and I know that you're not about to insult your own intelligence by trying to imply that any one of those three prospects is a top-6 forward.

Hoglander put up more goals this past year then Trevor ever has and all at even strength. He did it while barely seeing PP time and getting 2/3's of the ice time Zegras normally gets.

WTF does Hoglander have to do with anything? Know what else he did? Set a career high 36 points, and managed 24 goals shooting 20%. You know what we call that in the industry? An unsustainably high shooting percentage. Don't worry your little head, he'll regress.

And no, that's not a godsend offer to a rebuilding team, in case you missed it, we've had several 2nd round and late first round picks in recent years, and gotten prospects who were taken in the first round. Know what those guys turn into? Bottom 6 players, if the become anything. We already have a boatload of those players, so why are we giving up a young top 6 player for a bunch of cast offs, not to mention an outright cap dump that you'd have to use the first round pick just to cover his ticket out of town.

But hey, sure, you go on and believe the rumors made by the same guys who proclaimed Pettersson was on his way out of town.

😂

Kirill: Probably not an NHLer

Mik: pay us to take him

Raty: we’ll give you a mid 3rd rounder

1st and 2nd 1-2 years out: Sure, for Vatrano 😂
