No from the Sharks. Korpisalo costs a 1st to dump. You’re not getting Granlund and Blackwood in return.

Flames Pass. Chychrun’s overrated and we have something potentially better in each of Kuzmenko & Miromanov

Easy San Jose pass. Nearly ppg center last year and a much better younger and cheaper goalie than the one being dumped.

Imo no, I don’t think San Jose really wants to move either. Joseph doesn’t add much to the deal to me

I watched a couple of games late last season and Miromanov was very noticeable , he could be 1st pair this year playing with Weegar.

Yeah, I could live with it if you take Granny out

I mean value wise it's probably fair but if Granlund is getting moved I'd prefer to wait until the deadline. He's been great in the development of Eklund and Zetterlund. He'll take some tough matchups away from Smith/Celebrini next season as well

If the caps moved Kuemper in a separate deal, I wouldn't be terribly upset with that trade for the caps. I'd probably rather they go after a better tandem goalie to split starts with Lindgren though.

i honestly did not mean to add forsburg to that deal I had meant to just have the 3rd but left it out of laziness, meant to trade forsburg to any team

As a Sharks fan, I also agree that the trade is lopsided in favor of Ottawa. According to Perri Cap Savings calculator Korpisalo’s contract should cost slightly more that #25 (BOS) + #39 (OTT) as a cap dump.

I also think the Sharks don’t look at moving Granlund until the deadline as they are very short on veteran centers to insulate Celebrini and Smith. With Couture questionable to return, Granlund would be their only vet capable of centering a top-6 line.

OP if you’re looking for cap relief, would you do any of:
- Korpisalo + #25 + #39 for Blackwood + #85
(Favors Ottawa by roughly the value of a high 2nd)

- Korpisalo + #7 + #39 for Blackwood + #14
(Favors Ottawa by roughly the value of a mid 2nd)

- Korpisalo + #7 for Blackwood + #33 + #42
(Favors Ottawa by roughly the value of a 3rd)

LMFAO no team is EVER going to use a top 10 pick, willingly, to dump cap.

I think there have been enough comments on the trades here, so i won't, but I would LOVE Liam O'Brien on the 4th line. Underrated FA move.

A bust, a cap dump and a 1st round pick walk into a bar.
Joseph is 3M for 11 G .. no value
Korpisalo is a 4x4M cap dump The 1st and 4th are just to dump him. He's barely above Campbell in Value
So even taking Korpisalo out you are not getting Blackwood and Granlund for Joseph and a low 1st

Hard pass from Washington. We don’t need another aging goaltender on a terrible contract when we have guys like Shepard and Stevenson who are ready for NHL minutes.
