While the value may be in the fair neighborhood, adding 2 sub 6' forward prospects and sub 6' Skinner for 3 years to what the Hawks already have in sub 6' forwards/prospects seems like the wrong mix.

I hear you. But I don't know, man. Savoie is so darn good, Rosen is fairly valuable, and the 2nd is also pretty good value at 43 overall. If BUF REALLY wants to hang onto that 11th OA pick, this could be interesting. Might need some tweaks and maybe an increase in value here or there, but this could be onto something. Honestly, if I were BUF, I'd be more interested in maximizing the value of the 11th OA pick, because this is a relatively weak draft after the top 10, where the player drafted with that pick likely won't hold near as much trade value as the pick itself.

Trade out Rosen for the first then ?

Curious why you think Skinner would waive his full NMC for a trade to Chicago?

I know you are asking OP, but my only thought on that is CHI can afford to give him big minutes, retain on him, and send him somewhere he wants to go and hopefully contend. BUF can't really do that for him right now. It would muddy up their cap situation when they have a lot of kids who are getting very expensive very quickly.

Absolutely, CHI would do that! But BUF doesn't do that. Maybe Savoie and the 2nd out for the 1st.

I would be ok with the deal as proposed, or this rework by Garak. Obviously Skinner would have to agree, but 1/2 season with Bedsy to pump his numbers. Then retain and trade for a decent deadline haul.
