Like with all Mariner deals, will be waive to go to Ottawa?

I'd be surprised if someone gave you a third for Jarnkrok, and it certainly won't be Los Angeles, with their cap stress. If the Kings are going to spend $2.1 million on a bottom-6 forward, they'd probably prefer to spend it re-signing 27-year-old Blake Lizotte for three or four seasons than on buying two seasons of 33-year-old Calle Jarnkrok.

LA doesn't want or need Jarnkrok and definitely isn't moving a 2nd pick for a bottom 6 forward.

Doubt he waives for any team unless Toronto makes it clear they won't re-sign him

This is equivalent to the 1st round pick they’ll get when they trade him at the deadline next year. Liljegren takes his spot and is younger which Seattle needs and adds a potential top 6 guy in Robertson with 30 goal potential. Think this is more than fair

I think they take it and run tbh

I view Liljegren and Robertson at this point as high quality secondary pieces. Robertson still has good upside but there's a lot of downside as well. If he can't hack it in a top six, his play style isn't really conducive to a bottom six role. He also has a lengthy injury history. Liljegren has showed occasional flashes of top-four ability, but too often his inconsistencies relegate him to a bottom pairing role. To me they are both quality secondary pieces, and a package for Larsson would require replacing one of them with a true centerpiece asset.

I highly doubt Seattle is trading Larsson anyway, at least this offseason. They're gunning for a return to the playoffs and he's too important to the team to lose. The Kraken don't really have anyone who can immediately step in and replace all he provides right now.

The Kings don't need Jarnkrok and even if the were interested, they would'nt give up their 2nd

No not really. This is a really optimistic evaluation of both of these players and assumes that everything goes perfectly for them. If this was their reality, then it would make no sense for TOR to trade either of them unless you consider them cap casualties, which at this point in their careers they really aren't.

To add onto what @KrakenTheCode has already said, SEA is in no means struggling with forwards with a wealth of forward prospects coming up in the next 1-2 years (e.g. Firkus, Nyman, Sale, and Goyette all are projected top 6). Where SEA is weak right now is on RD and while Liljeren would have a role, it isn't a top pair role. In order for SEA to consider giving up Larsson not only would SEA need a centerpiece assest coming back (e.g. TOR 2024 1st), but SEA would have to go out and spend the cap to land someone like Pesce or Montour before SEA even considers the deal

Like all ACGM Marner deals, I think it's assuming he waives and you're suspending disbelief. I think it's clear he'd only waive to go to a team he wants to sign an 8-year extension with (which does give him a lot of power). But why not Ottawa? It's a great young core that looks to be on the cusp of the playoffs once they get organized.
