IMO, Brodie isn't someone to sign. He really slowed down to awalk in the second half of the season.

Its basically a stop gap player. I think paired with adam fox he’ll be pretty good

Maybe it’s fair but I think it doesn’t work for San Jose. Lindgren is right on the cusp of being able to be a part of the sharks next contention time. Not sure it makes sense for them at this time

Well, sharks cant exclusively have kids until that time. Lindgren is a pretty solid dman who plays very hard and probably sets a good example for young guys coming up. Also gives the shark a talented young winger to play with smith and celebrini. I think its a fair trade that makes sense

It doesn't make sense if they're giving up the 14th overall lmao

They could get an equally good vet, and one who plays on the right side, for free in Free Agency

Or 23 year old Kakko can grow with the core.

You were literally referencing Lindgren. Kakko would be interesting but Zadina is a year older and had pretty much as good a year. Is he worth a 1st too?

True but why give up 14 oa for a guy you could find in free agency and what is a reclamation project in Kakko? Thats just doesn’t make sense for San Jose. Maybe a playoff team would do that

Kakko was hurt this year and last year he did put up 18G/22A while not getting PP time. He was drafted 2nd overall for a reason. Some bigger forwards take time to develop. It's probably a risk worth taking in a weak draft class too. Would you prefer to have smith/celebrini grow with a winger of have a turnstile of vets playing alongside them?
