Liljegren is just a downgrade, and we have way too many undersized wingers of with about the same potential as Robertson

Yeah I don’t think this gets ferarro. Although I would like to get him. What do you think San Jose wouldn’t want from us?

Sharks will overvalue Ferraro as he is one of the only leaders we got right now, I know it sounds like an overpay but it starts at a late first

You are joking right? Ferraro had 21pts Liljegren had 23pts, Robertson had 27 pts with 14 goal's in just 56 games with limited minutes. If I was Mike Grier, I'd do that in a second.

because points are the only measurement of a defenseman lmao, also we are talking San Jose vs Toronto who has some absolutely elite pieces up front

Well it's not all about points for a defenseman, but Ferraro isn't a elite shut down defenseman he's just an average two way defenseman, Liljegren is a better puck mover who shoots right and has more potential. And you aren't saying San Jose has elite piece's up front?

we will soon, we did not last year, which is why points are irrelevant, also ferraro is one of our only leaders left, which is why we overvalue him to an extent

Well you hope, if everything goes well then yes you will, but there's no way of knowing for certain that you will, the could just mess up on their picks. But Robertson at 22 year's old would be a great edition to your team and Liljegren would be, that's why it's an overpayment on the Leafs end

Robertson would be 4th in goals on the sharks only playing 56 games with only 11.23 minutes of ice-time. He had no injuries he was waiver exempt and was sent up and down all season.

Robertson is fine, but a useless addition, he's a small winger, which we already have a plethora of with about the same skillset of Robertson, I guarantee Grier would deny this trade proposal, regardless of value

Robertson played with a team that is 500x better than the sharks offensively, personally I think the goals he had arent even comparable to what he would od on san jose

Look, regardless of any of that, he's just not a useful pick up for San Jose, Grier is clearly trying to get bigger, and with Gushchin and Bordeleau (with us having to move on from 1 or the other) being similar to Robertson in size, I just don't think this helps us

Actually I think the opposite, I think it be just like when you guys got Barabanov from us, he would probably get more with better opportunities, like playing higher up in the lineup and on a power play.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're not, honestly I have no idea. I wouldn't hate us trading like a not high pick for him, I just wouldn't want him to be a return for a Ferraro trade.

Again, Sharks have a decent amount of young wingers who deserve NHL time. If Robertson was 6ft 200lbs I would feel differently. Grier wants a bigger, physical hockey team, I just doubt he goes after him, I know he's a good player though

No I understand that's not what you guys are looking for, I'm just saying isolate the player's regardless of team needs, the value of Robertson and Liljegren combined is more then Ferraro, not saying he's a bad player, just to much to pay for him.
