You really think Liljegren is worth the 33rd overall plus a 5th?

Leafs fans clearly think he's a replaceable middle/bottom pairing d-man, considering their d-core is not very good and yet he's being dealt in half the leafs ACGMs.

Worth a 2nd, could be any young team that has space to give Lily a run on the backend. He's always done great with more minutes

If that were true the leafs would keep him. He's 100% not worth a 2nd to anyone

It absolutely is true, you must know all 31 GMs who have told you they wouldn't pay a second for him?

I might send a 4th for him but definitely not a second. Also worth mentioning not all 2nds/same round picks are the same. #33 is one off from being a first

Yes, I know all of them and they literally all told me. They all just texted me that there's no way they'd ever give up a 2nd rounder for Timothy

They were a successful team with him playing, would instantly be the best dman on the Sharks

Smart teams acquire young players who have upside with more minutes like Liljegren all the time. Forgot the Sharks wouldn't qualify for that though

That’s a lot of talk for a team that is so poorly constructed they can’t get passed the first round despite having prime Mathews

Playoffs are about winning the cup, not rounds right? Sharks fans got no legs to stand on here. I'll take a first round exit every year if a cup eventually follows

And how do you propose the Leafs will win the cup before needing to rebuild in a few years? Is it by making moves like dumping Timmy for #33?

Can you explain why the Leafs DONT want Liljegren.
I truly don’t get it. If he’s essentially worth a first+ (that’s what you’ve proposed) - why do the Leafs who need a cup not want him?

He’s 25, so he’s not exactly young but young enough to fit their timeline.

I don't think he does well in a 3rd pairing role and I'm not sure they go into the season with him as a top 4 guy

Worry about projecting your own team in a few years instead of a team that makes the dance every year 👍
