divide your expectations by roughly 20. I didn't make it past anaheim or boston. McTavish has WAY more value than Marner and McAvoy probably has roughly 10x the value of marner. hope to get a mid first round pick. that's as good as you'll do.

There are 26 trades that "the other team" definitely, without hesitation say no.
One the Leafs wouldn't do. Two are iffy if the Leafs would do.
Like so many of these trades, the authors have no conception of the other teams cap, or the value 11m Marner (he's overpaid), or that fact he has just one year left on his contract.

Canes don't move Morrow. Pesce, TDA (even if he's terrible), Chatfield, and Skjei are all UFAs. They need a guy with a ton of potential on a rookie deal.

I realize Marner is much better than Necas....but a 1 for 1 is the only way this happens with Canes I think (which is why I don't think it happens)

Necas will cost almost $4m less.
