Actually, the only horrible takes here are yours. You'd be hard pressed to find any Hawks fans on this site who would be happy to move Jones for a one year Marner rental. A one year Marner rental makes no sense for the Hawks. Marner doesn't make the Hawks a playoff team next season.

It's hilarious to me that Toronto fans, whose team can't put together a supporting cast sufficient to get to the second round of the playoffs (except for one year in the past 6) because over 60% of their cap space is concentrated in 5 players, are sneering at the Seth Jones contract.




Well, maybe I'm missing something, but I'd happily accept that offer as the Anaheim GM.

Given the fact that our penalty kill was one of the worst in the League and that our choices for fourth-line center are Isac Lundestrom, Ben Meyers and Benoit-Olivier Groulx (collectively 15 points), two of whom had a face-off win rate of 44% and the third of whom was worse, I'd happily add David Kampf (19 points and 50.9% FOW) for the next three seasons while moving up in the draft.
