Montour and Guentzel ain't signing those lowball deals. Burns can only be traded to 3 teams, good luck moving him lol. Not enough for Saros

Why are you dumping a .932 goalie?

Not enough for Necas

Probably light for Burns.

Probably high on Martinook, Chaftield, and Jarvis while being low on Noesen.

Some cap can be rearranged to give Montour and Guentzel more money
A first, A second and bottom-6 center feels like quite a bit for a goaltender
Burns might be difficult to move but you kind of have to do it

Did you watch freddie in the playoffs... he was below average at best
Goyette is a long-term 2C replacement and a very good prospect... he's fine
You just need Burns contract off the books
You can move around some of the cap for those four contracts

Freddie had a 1,9 GSAx, for the softies he let in, he had some sensational saves too other netminders wouldn't have made.

Goyette's fine, but he needs to come with a first, and probably another mid round pick. A 2nd is really light.

I'm fine taking one of their firsts... just trying to be a bit on the conservative side
I think Juuse is an upgrade on Freddie and is also younger

Montour is going to get north of 7M and probably max term, Guentzel will easily get over 9M, probably closer to 9.5Mx8 if he stays with Carolina. So you are at minimum 1.5M short between those 2 alone. Didn't mention it before but Noesen probably gets more too and Stephenson will probably want closer to 6x6
That might be all you are willing to pay for Saros but Nashville is not rebuilding and does not need to accept that. There is a reason they asked for Mercer+ near the deadline, because they need that potential top line talent, and not just another middle 6 prospect from a mid/late 1st.
Why do you "kinda have to" move Burns at all? He's played just fine there

I wouldn't expect Goyette to translate to center at the NHL level.

While Saros is younger, after the season he just had, I'm not certain he's an upgrade going into this season. Both are up at the end of the year, and Freddie's best isn't that much worse than Saros' best. They're going to run a tandem anyway, I just don't see the need for a new netminder right now. Next summer? 100%. This year? Ehh

Why don't you think that Goyette would translate to center at the NHL level? I think he has the offensive skillset to translate to the next level and Rod can get good defensive performances out of a lot of players (just look at Guentzel and Jarvis)

He's already playing wing last I checked. Dvorsky centers that line no? Also at 5'10, unless he becomes a star forward he's pretty unlikely to hold out as a center

That's a fair point... I think he does have the tools to eventually be a center somebody just needs to put them together

I'm not saying he's a bad trade target or can't become a center at the NHL level. Just not to expect it. He most likely pans out as a winger

bro basing on stats lmao, so tell me why KK is a "breakout candidate" with 1 point in 11 playoffs games?
