A serious attempt

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The vision: 1-3 lines 15-17 minutes a night, trying to get the various kids into all situations. Sturm line can check and might have some depth scoring.
1.) Necas is a 65 (ish) point winger I think that a first + a huge cap dump (worth a 2nd) is good value (maybe im a homer but lemme know what you think)
2.) We have to trade one of Burroughs Benning or Ruuta. Ruuta might be the easiest to trade but having someone who can speak Russian in the squad might help Muk’s development.
2.) It is critical to get someone better at puck moving into our defense. Skjei on a huge money two Or three year contract is my dream. Who are you interested in?

What? Combined, they'll get maybe 15. Jarvis won't get more than 6 on a bridge, and Guentzel will make around 9.

Okay, that's more reasonable. Sorry, I thought you meant he was worth *only* a 1st which was a bad look. A 1st, 2nd and something like Zadina is definitely in the right area, but something like Bordeleau would probably be wanted by Carolina, perhaps in place of Zadina. Or maybe Bordeleau and Kunin instead of Zadina.

Oh no i see the miscommunication, my fault. I think Jarvis is getting 8+ this year based on what I’ve been seeing / reading

Genuinely you are proving my point. The return for fíala was number 19 (vegas finished 19 this year) and Faber (who was pick 45 (thats in the second round)). When faber was traded he was not considered to be a #1 dman, several reports from that year had him as a B+ prospect. So thank you

Highly regarded D prospect ‘>>> 2nd

Jarvis has to get bridged for the cap to work, but even on a long term deal, 8 is a big reach. Maybe something like 7-7.5, but he's probably getting a short term deal to help keep the core together. He had a laundry list of injuries at the end of the season, and dedicating that much money to him for a long period of time with that kind of list is very risky.

And he's a good player. He's a touch overpaid, but he's still a good player! Scraps aren't getting him or Necas!

A touch overpaid?🤣 let me guess, a nano-smidge too much tenure on that contract? LMAO

No, I'm fine with the term on the deal. Should maybe be 4-4.5 instead of 4.82, but it is what it is

We can agree to disagree. Safe to assume you don’t think Canes buy him out?

No, neither does anyone else. Friedman said today it's not happening because the team love the player, and other teams are also very high on him and would be willing to take a chance on him.

I don’t see a deal happening unless KK is dumped and think he gets bought out but guess we will have to wait to find out

Friedman said today he's not getting bought out or dumped, so that isn't happening. He's getting traded, or he's staying. I'm more than happy to keep him, there's a great player in there if he can find the score sheet consistently.
