Re load!
Give poitras a shot. He might be ready But I think he may end up developing a bit more.
If Forbort won’t sign for that let him walk and grab a cheaper option. Marc Staal? Brendan Smith?

This has been rehashed a few times now, but the Devils won't give up a top 10 pick (of which their 2024 pick is one) to get Ullmark. A 2025 1st is more likely, although I think their fans are thinking something more like two 2nds or something centered around Alexander Holz. Time will tell, but the 2024 1st is almost certainly off the table.

Elias Lindholm will definitely cost more than that. I'd put his floor at 7m, but after picking it up in the playoffs I think he's looking at closer to 7.5m-8m. In my opinion, the Bruins cannot afford to re-sign DeBrusk AND go after Bertuzzi IF they sign Elias Lindholm.

I'm hoping that they give Poitras a shot to bounce between 2C and 3C next year. If they sign Lindholm, that would mean that they could have Zacha move to the wing and they could toggle between Poitras and Coyle in the 2C/3C spots.

I mean IF they’re desperate enough for a goalie the #10 isn’t helping them already flush with young players and prospects if Ullmark signs an extension with the trade I don’t think it’s completely off the table

No it definitely is completely off the table. Goalies simply do not carry this amount of value in trades.

Also, you can never have too strong of a prospect pool in the NHL, ever. Having someone like Eiserman, Catton or Bramdsegg-Nygaard on an ELC contributing in the top 6 would be invaluable for the Devils and their cup window once they have to hand out extensions to Holtz, Hughes, Mercer and Nemec.

Yeah it is. Our other area of concern is C and LHD. This draft has a couple of D that could make a push to start next season. There is also a couple Fwds that coukd do the same. A elc on one of these is helpful. We're not giving up 10 OA unless is ridiculously good.

If they think they are a really good goalie away from contending than nothing is off the table no defenseman or anyone really drafted at 10 is playing next year
