Basically halves his contract next season and then the cap hit is a million for carolina in 2 years. Not that big of a deal.

Then you’re tying up very valuable cap space for no reason. You still have to replace Burns. You can’t do that AND re-sign one of Pesce Skjei. The numbers don’t work.
