You are going to be quite disappointed with the eventual return.

Sabers not for a over price rental. At most I would give up is a first and Ostlund or Rosen.

Seattle and Sabres should do that IMO... if Marner accepts a trade and extension

All the other trades wont happen

Rumors is he wants 3 years 12 million. That's at least two other players they could sign. That's even if he wants to stay in Buffalo since most big named players want to win a cup or go to a tax free state Buffalo is not a choice. He'll probably sign with a Florida team or VKG

Leafs reject any in division trade. Marner likely only waives for a handful of location + not many team will have cap space for $11M winger, even one as dynamic & effective as Marner. Overlap on Venn diagram is small, limiting Tre’s options.
I’m a huge fan of Marner’s - he had a disappointing playoffs but unfair to blame it all on him… if he is moved, I’d be happy with a young roster player (elc) + picks coming back. The cap space to address D corps is the priority

True I think to prove your point you should trade Matthews instead of Marner to prove the Canes really are poor! No way Dundon would be able to afford paying that salary right? Only one way to know!

Younger, more important position, much cheaper contract.

Bad title..."Marner trades". A better title "Poor Marner trades"

Not much consideration of other teams cap
Not much consideration for Marner's NMC.

If Buffalo is taking on Marner (who won't re-sign there) then Skinner is going the other way.

Take out the 1st and still no. Toronto adds in a Marner for Kempe swap, IMO.

Lol y’all are so negative on here it’s crazy. Why would Marner want to stay on a team who allegedly, doesn’t want him. Seems like a toxic environment to be in. He obviously has a lot of control but if the Maple Leafs came to him and said “we don’t want you” at that point wouldn’t he just want out?

He would also push all of those teams into playoffs (who missed this year) and for the teams that made it (LA/VGK/CAR) they will prob all need a shakeup of some sort. Especially if Canes get bounced in round 2 + Necas has been rumoured in multiple trades over the past year or so. VGK has shown they will trade for star players no matter what it takes and LA has lost three years in a row to the same EDM team.

Could see him going to any of these teams, and just like the Eichel situation (only a few suitors) Buffalo still got a haul for him. NMC doesn’t = no value
