I think it is supposed to be a sign and trade because he has Teravainen signing an 8 x $6.65m deal with the Hurricane. If that is what TT is asking for, then let someone else have him.

Pass on Dubois and that contract. That’s an even bigger anchor than KK. Rossi isn’t worth Necas+. Doubt a sign and trade happens with Turbo. He’s is not a 6x8 kind of a player in my eyes. The rest of the FA signings are a bit short. Especially Pesce and Guentzel.

Say what you will about KK, his contract is at least bearable. With the right usage in the right system, he will be a great middle 6 C. PLD is getting paid like a low end 1C, when he is nothing more than an overrated 2C. Nobody is taking on that contract willingly.

For real. Normally I'd expect the Wild to have to add something small, but given the cap difference maybe it's a 1 for 1 to give the Canes a year of ELC savings. Maybe.

The team that signs Guentzel at 9.5M-10M+ for 7-8yrs will regret it. Look to Scheifele and Miller. 30yr olds who got $8M, also centers. Guentzel may get around 8-8.5M at max term, but I highly doubt any team is going to sign up to pay him $10M a year til he’s 37-38.
