If you want to feel better about missing out on Kochetkov, look at Jeff Skinner's trade history. It'll make you feel SO much better because Kochetkov is the worst you missed out on

Fair, but many teams passed on Wyatt. He was ranked in the late 20's to 30's on a lot of boards.

If picking the best player available in the draft were easy I'd be an NHL GM... They could have taken Hayton or Zadina in 2018, or Kaliyev instead of Pinto in 2019... or Faber instead of Kleven in 2020 and McAvoy instead of Logan Brown in 2016. Most of the time, It's a crapshoot.

It’s easy to say could have should have. But Wyatt was considered a reach at the time. He didn’t play much hockey during Covid. Even the guys that had him going in the first round had him going late
