You need a 1st in that Necas package. This is pretty easily declined, there's just not enough here.

Had the 11 in there and took it out. Think I'd pull trigger on that instead of this year.
My thinking on the 2 2's is that the Canes don't have the leverage to pull a 1. You can't pay everyone. But if there's a big competition to get him, then throw next years 1 (top 10 protected).

Canes package is light for Necas,
Byram is going to want more (5.5 range I would think).
If you are bridging Quinn I would think you would be looking in the 4.5 neighborhood if he stays healthy. And that is on a 2 year deal most likely.
Peterka will also get somewhere in that same neighborhood.

But you are telling the Canes poster that they wont have enough money to pay everyone, you are going to put yourself in the same situation when these bridge deals expire and you will need to make some trades

They'll get more from an offer sheet, if it comes to it. They have enough leverage to demand a 1st with Necas, that's just the cold hard truth. Plus, offer sheet picks can't be protected. Feel free to take that swing if you want.
