At the same cap hit, I'd rather have the younger PLD. PLD can also play wing, which LA hasn't even tried.

Going off sample size and quality of linemates and some improvement as the season went on, I for once would prefer PLD. It’s not by a lot.

Remove the retention on Huberdeau and Calgary probably does it. The Flames need a still young top 6 center more than they need Huberdeau but there's absolutely no chance Calgary retains 2 mil per year for 7 years.
