My Ideal Leafs Roster Next Season

Created by: DJP1117
Team: 2024-25 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 6, 2024
Published: May 6, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not 100% sure on salary costs. However Ive left over 3.5M in cap space to make up for any discrepancies in salary.
If not that leaves them plenty of space to go out and get a top 6 forward at the deadline.

interested to see all the crazy comments im gunna get with you all saying "Its not worth it" Why would they do that, or Marner has a NMC lol.

Good Start....Marner will be moved. And TK...from Philly is a good pick up.

I think you would have a better chance at getting Saros compared to Askarov at this point. He is ready to make the jump and he is looking legit

Philly might consider it if either

1) Cowan instead of Minten

2) 2024 1st instead of 2026

But given they're not super tempted to move him at all, I don't think this is the package that makes them pull the trigger on moving him

If any goaltender is getting moved from Nashville it will be Saros. No interest in Marner from Nashville's perspective. We need more quality at Center and at RD, and Toronto doesn't seem like a good fit as a trade partner

I would say TOR is a good partner if they are willing to move Cowan, as Cowan looks to be exactly what NSH would want. On top of that Cowan and Evangelista played in London together for a brief time, so there is already a relationship between two players that would make the transition a bit easier.

Which is why I don't think they're a good partner. I don't see any world in which they trade Cowan or any of their other young prospects with upside because their pool has been depleted so badly

You're on the right path with TK. You don't have a 2nd to add so make it a 3rd, and you will likely need to add another prospect like Niemala if the pick is three drafts away.
