Getting a Goalie and Mcleod Replacement

Description
Finding a replacement for Mcleod is sort of impossible because you're not going to get anywhere near what he was worth for his price. Sturm helps with faceoffs and hes a cheap guy to get, could help on the PK too.

Trading for Ullmark makes alot of sense for the Devils because hes the perfect middle ground in terms of performance, age, and trade price when it comes to the big three theyve got their eyes on (Marky, Saros and him).

I think most of my deals are relatively fair, but let me know what I did wrong if you think I messed u.

Additional Details:
Center depth for the devils. Good faceoff guy. Technically the Mcleod replacement, but you're never going to get the perfect replacement. Mcleod was starting to get really good on both ends of the ice.

Additional Details:
Make way for the Sway pay day. As much as Ullmark loves it with Sway in Boston. He's running on borrowed time. He doesn't have to move far with this trade though, and as a destination, NJ is much more desirable than out west in LA. The Bruins are already interested in parting ways, as shown at the deadline and this is a reasonable price. I could see them asking for slightly more. Im sure NJ would be willing to pay regardless.themselves a great defensive prospect.
(The 2nd rounder from 2025 and 3rd rounder from 2024 are interchangeable)

Additional Details:
Casey hasn't signed yet. But With the Bruins likely losing some key defensive pieces this off season, if Casey chooses to sign, he will come in handy. Even if he doesn't, the Bruins just got themselves a great defensive prospect.
(The 2nd rounder from 2025 and 3rd rounder from 2024 are interchangeable)

For the Devils, Siegenthaler struggled alot this year. I still believe he's a good player, but personally I think it would just be best to part ways and replace him in FA.

Additional Details:
The flames would get some nice defensive help and siegenthaler could likely slot into the top four and serve as a cheaper Tanev if hes able to find his game again in Calgary. I could also see them getting him for a 3rd round pick instead of a 2nd.

Bruins don’t need a RHD Casey is nice and all but bruins just have no need for his position.

25 1st or holtz. They will fill bigger needs for boston

Yeah thats also a fair asking price. Wouldnt be opposed to sending that thru either.

Yeah I had him at Bastian and a 3rd, and I'm ok with that. Some SJ fans think more but I think this is close. Then go get a speedy 4th liner with some snot

Idk I think a 5th is pretty fair value all things considered. He only had 13 points this season and has never eclipsed 30 in his career. Not to mention hes going to be turning 30 next year and will be a UFA at the end of next season. Maybe have NJD add a guy from the AHL or something of that sort if the Sharks decline this. Obviously we aren't grabbing him for his offensive game, but still.

What this guy offered is more accurate, he's not a guy whos gunna score points, he had like a top 5 faceoff season which in my eyes is worth something.

I’d prefer Ryan Graves, if PIT wants to dump him, but Siegenthaler would be a decent acquisition as well

Bruins are not losing any key pieces on defense. Grizz, Shatty and Forbort leave, good riddance.

Casey does nothing for me, i’d be ok, not thrilled, with him as the second piece, but certainly not the primary.

The thing about Sturm is that he plays exactly the way Grier wants the team to play. He works hard, plays physical, is good in the room, and is often brutally honest in a good way. He's the definition of a high character guy and so I think he has more value to the Sharks and the rebuild than any other team is going to be willing to pay for him.


Plus we have absolutely **** center depth if Couture isn't healthy.

That's not close to getting Ulmark. Why would Calgary give up a 2nd for Siegenthaler if there's a better free agent available to sign? Calgary would just sign that player instead.

Name a UFA as good as siegenthaler that would willingly sign in Calgary for 3.4 million.

The going rate for a siegenthaler (except worse) as shown last year was Graves at 4.5 mill AAVx6

Now add another 750k AAV for having to play in the least desirable location in hockey
