Gotta make it a 1st for us to consider. Don’t see why MTL would want Kakko anyway with Mesar coming up with in 1-2 years.

Necas isn’t worth 4 first round pick, jesus lord have i miss something. There absolutely no team that will pay close to that.

Overpay for Necas, but the young players aren't particularly interesting to the Canes and mid-late firsts really aren't what they would want as a return.

Why? The legit have no picks in the next three drafts and Kaako isn’t helping them

Yes he is. He is a top 6 forward with PPG potential. And his window fits. You have to give to get.

So which is it? An overpay, or the picks/players arent what they would want? You can’t say both, you contradict your own statement

No one is trading a first for Kakko at this point

you understand, and please ignore the canes fans who make zero sense, you don't give 4x FIRST ROUND PICK for a 50-60p player... it just never happens.

I know Cane fans will ask for that package, but it never happened.

It’s not exactly 4 first rounders. Where guys were drafted is irrelevant. Barron is a top 4 ceiling, bottom pair floor. Mesar is a top 6 ceiling, non-NHL player floor. The two picks are likely low-first rounders which potentially could not result in an NHL player. To trade all that possibility for a top line player - you do that every day

Four first round pick, you listen to yourself? This is completely stupid. There nothing more there have to be said. Necas had one good season. This is ridiculous. Carolina will end up losing Necas in 2025-26 for absolutely nothing. Even Waddell wouldn’t call any gm
To ask for such ridiculous return. He would lost all credibility around the league.

It's an overpay, Montreal should not offer this much in a package for any one player that isn't a superstar. If offered this package, I still think the Canes decline because it's not what they would be looking for in a return for Necas. Those are not contradictory statements, they are complimentary. Teams don't trade players in a vacuum, and in Carolina's case they are contending and don't want to sell their players for futures.

If a team offered their next four firsts for Cole Caufield, far more than he is worth, Kent Hughes would probably decline because they are trying to exit their rebuild and futures would set them back.

They don’t need picks and Kakko is helping them lmao

Let me guess, you’re just looking at his stats, seeing low points and saying “he sucks, he isn’t doing anything” lmao
