If Necas only costs $6.5M, the Canes will keep him.

List of players that the Canes need to resign for the next season with a total of 28M in their cap space : Jarvis, Necas, Guentzel, Skjei, Pesce, Chatfield, Teuvo, Drury, Noesen and Martinook.

They likely gonna need to trade away or letting go somes players in that list. They can't keep all of them, and don't expect somes bridge or friendly deal for them.

They don’t “need” to sign ALL of those players. They’ll finally have reason to tap into their prospect pool and fill a few spots with young players on ELCs.

Again, if Necas only costs $6.5M, there’s no reason for CAR to let him go.

I 1000% know that somes of them will not gonna return to Carolina because they will not gonna want to resign them, but they have somes players that they really need to keep : Guentzel, Jarvis and Skjei.

Skjei is very likely going to price himself out of Raleigh. Guentzel will be 30. Keeping Jarvis is a given.

It’s more likely they retain Necas and Jarvis than sign 2 30yr olds to max term deals. They certainly have the cap space to make that happen.
