Leafs wont be interested in getting draft picks and prospects for Marner. They will want players who can contribute now, preferably defence.

A Marner for Kurashev type of trade is one I could see happening from the Leafs perspective.

If Marner has that contract signed before the trade then it would be Chicagos 2024 1st rounder going back to Toronto and possibly even adding to that

So,Marner takes a pay cut on a 6 year warranty extensionis that the story you're trying to sell come on now he's not signing anything less than 12 that long

Why do the Hawks want Marner? Leave their core alone and have Bedard lead it. No need to ruin it by adding a soft and poor playoff performer to it.

I'd be fine with any number up to $12m per for Marner.

I wouldn't want to go higher than $11m but I'm sure his next deal will be atleast $12m
