d isn't good enough to win a cup, but maybe allows liljegren to develop a bit more. once jt's contract is up and the cap rises even more, should put leafs in a good position.

- eventually need to make the salary work. tanev might not be viable. also most likely that at most only one of bertuzzi or domi stays, espec with cowan in the pipeline. if i had to pick between the two, i'd pick bertuzzi but he might have priced himself out the way hes been playing lately. fine with settling for just domi, so long as term isn't >5 years and caphit isn't >4 mil

I would love to resign Bert and Domi but it makes it very hard to upgrade the D and stay under the cap when doing that.

You would need to trade Jarnkrok and Kampf and run a 21 man roster to make it work.
