CHI isn't buying Kuzmenko. As we told Canucks fans, you would need to pay us to take his contract.

He was only connected to CHI in initial talks when he first came over from the KHL, and then again as a possible landing spot if VAN needed to move out cap (cap dump... meaning you have to pay for it).

Kuzmenko was tied to the Hawks earlier this season when the Hawks forward group was decimated by injuries. And the Canucks reported ask of a 2nd was more than Kyle from Chicago was willing to pay. And the only chance Kuzmenko has of "playing well" in Chicago is if he's on a line w/ Bedard, which he won't be unless Hall or Kurashev get injured. Kuzmenko takes too many shifts off and doesn't play any sort of D. He's not a player the Hawks are giving up a pick for to put in the lineup for one season. Much rather target a 2C to play with Reichel and Anthanasou.

I'll take the 33 year old who's durable over the 24 year old who misses as many games due to injury as he's healthy enough to play. His career isn't likely to be very long.

May or may not be long, I hope he figures it out but regardless that Kadri contract has the potential to be one of the worst in the league in a couple years time. Would do everything in my power to stay away from that type of deal.
