I can’t imagine there’s much of a market for Boqvist, but if there is, it wouldn’t be more than a 3rd round pick in my opinion. Maybe a 2nd. Maybe.

Thats fair, i went back and forth on what hed be worth, i still feel he has upside and being a younger RD i feel like hes worth a little more

Detroit and Columbus just keep their players.
Werenski's contract causes cap issues for Detroit, not to mention his injury history is a hard sell.

Columbus isn't trading their best defenseman/ player and Detroit isn't trading their top prospect plus more for a player that they can not afford with their cap situation. He would actually cost us more than that package as we would be forced to pay to move off cap, we might have to already, or we would make our team weaker by moving good players for mediocre returns. Just not worth it for us.

Ottawa declines, we have enough injury proned players to worry about, and don't need Boquist.

columbus is a completely different team with/without werenski in the lineup. if they deal him it will have to be for someone who can have the same kind of effect
