Apologize for my initial post.

Buffalo is extremely high on Power (signed 7 year contract) and Peterka (our leading goal scorer at 22 years old on an ELC) and would not at all be interested in this trade.

It frankly was a shocking trade to see

Of course. The only realistic move is Adams signing 1-2 4th liners, so that wouldn't be very interesting to draw up. This is what I want to happen, not what I think will happen.

Because Power lacks the necessary aggression I think this team needs from such a pivotal role. And his potential is wasted (and too costly) on the 2nd pair, playing behind both Dahlin and Byram. I don't think Dahlin and Byram on the top powerplay is a good long term plan, so this solves that. And I think a playmaker is desperately needed on the powerplay and in the top6 in general as Thompson and Cozens are shooters, and it would be much more beneficial to have a playmaker activating them than it is to have yet another shooter in Peterka.

I simply could not possibly disagree more with everything you've said.

Go ahead and count Anaheim right out of this trade big fella

Minty = untouchable
Zegras = need a massive overpay
Gudas = we love him and aren’t trading him plus his NTC

Mintyukov has the grit and physicality that powers lacks, and given he was one of the highest ceiling D-men in his draft, and he by all appearances had hit, we'd rather rhim over power.

Peterka is a fine middle 6 scorer, but Zegras is a top line piece.

Lastly, we'd much rather have Gudas over Clifton.

Anaheim passes 3/3.

If you guys "needed" a playmaker, you should have kept Mittlestadt.

AZ easy pass - not swapping power C (only one AZ has) for undersized W (team is filled with them) plus give a 2nd. AZ pass

Owen Power would be awesome. ANA isn’t moving Minty period, and Zegras would take a big time overpay. This isn’t it at all
