For as illustrious a career as Malkin has had, I don't think he's worth nearly that much at this point. McCann is scoring at a higher pace than him this season. It makes no sense for the Kraken to give up all those valuable assets when it's debatable whether swapping those two would even represent a near term upgrade, and certainly wouldn't be a long term one for Seattle.

I agree the trade value is lopsided. It's tough gauging the trade value of a Hall of Famer like Malkin. The time to trade him was 2-3 years ago. At this point Pittsburgh has a tough call to make. Any trade return will be underwhelming.

The focus is winning the Stanley Cup with Dubas now gone. Pittsburgh saved the Leafs from him. I will forever be grateful.

The leafs won't win the Stanley cup this year, and unless they have a massive overhaul in the summer, they won't next season either. Treliving has done nothing.

Best of luck though, it's only been 57 years!
