If i VASTLY overrate Brady Tkachuk as a 13 million dollar player, that's still only 24 mill in surplus value.

To provide that Nemec just needs to be damon severson (he already is as good if not better)

Brady would be a 95pt player on the Devils next to Hughes . He barely has played with Stutzle this year and Stutzle has been playing injured

Cool. Not moving Nemec for him.

Even if you vastly overrate a valuation of Brady Tkachuk at 13 million AAV, Nemec doesn't even need to improve to be worth more than that. He's already Damon Severson quality (6+ million), making 900k

I don't think Ottawa will blow it up. They'll be just like Calgary. Take the L for this year, trade the UFAs and go for it again next year.

If they do blow it up, I doubt Claude would want to stay, even though he's from Ottawa.

Tbh even if that was true Devils would still pay for him a 75-point player's price because that's who Tkachuk has been for past 2-3 years.

You wouldn't move Sanderson for Tkachuk equivalent, so I doubt NJ would do that either.

I honestly can't fathom how that 2nd period team and the team that beat Vegas and Dallas is the same squad as the 1st period team and the team from the games against NSH, WSH, ANA, and CHI. It's actually night and day and I have no idea how this inconsistency gets fixed.

I saw a stat where they’re like winless in like 10 or 12 games in away games against West teams.

Batherson would be a great fit on 1RW and is young and cost-controlled. Kind of a no-brainer.
