Not at all saying the value is incorrect - but the Sharks using their last retention spot for 2 years on Sturm seems unlikely.

They could use a single year in Duclair, Barabanov, or Kaapo and extract higher values. Plus they’d likely want to trade Granlund (or someone else) in the offseason or next TDL when they get their spot back. You’d probably have to pay a 3rd party to retain in Nico or take the full cap

Sharks literally have 1 win without Sturm in the lineup. I don't think people realize the impact he has on the bottom six of a team in terms of possession, physicality, defensive structure, etc.

100% agree. And while I do understand a 3rd for a depth C is fair, losing the last retention slot for 2 years for a return I feel is reasonable with zero retention seems crazy.
