Hawks decline. Faksa is a pure cap dump from the Hawks perspective. They don't even have an open roster spot for him at this point. At a minimum, it takes the Stars '26 2nd to dump him to the Hawks.

Skjei is coming off of an 18 goal season... it's going to cost you a lot more than that for him.

In a market where so few teams have cap space available, the Stars will be hard pressed to move Faksa and his $3.25m cap hit for the next two seasons for anything less than a 2nd round pick. I would think something along the lines of Faksa and the Stars 2026 2nd for Blackwell.
