Chiarot is a hell no. He's a left shot, which we don't need and is actually worse than Rutta. Add in his trade protection and 3 years remaining on his contract and he is the last thing we need

I don't think Yzerman trades Chiarot for Petry. But I think you're in the ballpark with the EK65 trade.

Everything in this trade is realistic except Chariot for Petry. Pens probably have to send a pick to Chicago to take Petry.

Sharks would accept.

Chiarot is a waste of oxygen on the ice. At least Petry is serviceable. Pens pass

Sharks would have already accepted this already 2 cap dumps a mid 1st and 2 bad prospect they are waiting for more.

I hope so. Both Pittsburgh and Detroit gets better and San José gets worse, which they want.

The reason a lot likes the Petry for Chiairot trade is because Pittsburgh gains cap space and Detroit a better player. Regarding trading Petry, he’s got a 15 team NTC in comparison to Chiairots 10 team list. That makes him easier to trade and more likely to be able to ship out to Chicago

Sheep leading the sheep. Original thinking is extinct. I bet 99% of fans here don't even watch Chiarot play. Helps if you watch the games. But it's much easier being a sheep I guess.

I'll never say Chiarot is good. Far from it. But he doesn't deserve the criticism he gets on CFACGM. It's funny how he's living rent free in fans heads here though. Hehe

I was thinking the opposite. Petry has value and is 2 more years. Chariot is devoid of use and has 3 years. The Pens should get a pick.

Rutta just isn't a cap dump, he's a casualty in this deal but not a dump. Granlund is a dump.

They're not going to get much more than that type of package regardless of what team it is. Idk why fans always expect so much more from trades. Reality is once a player like Karlsson is basically on the block and has publicly said he wants to play elsewhere, the team that has the player isn't going to get anywhere near the players value. I mean lets be honest if EDM traded McDavid or TOR Matthews neither would get fair value, it just is what it is.

People said the exact same thing about Eichel in Buffalo, Sabres got exactly what they wanted. Sharks don’t have to rush the trade he will be dealt once the sharks get a good offer.

I thought they would retain more, but I understand why they didn’t.
