Figured he would get a 1 year deal. Looks like it might be a one-way? Big if true. Definitely a "prove-it" year for Meyers.

Yeah, definitely a "prove-it" conrtact. So far we have seen nothing which would have warranted a bigger contract.

He played less than half of the season in the NHL and averaged under 10 minutes a game. This could be his last season in the NHL, at least with Colorado.

Very likely our 4C and hope he takes over PK duties as well. He's close to making that last step in consistency to be an everyday NHLer.

Numbers were against him and he has almost no bargaining power as a first time RFA. I think the hold up here was the one way or two way status. Looks like he took a lower amount to get a full one-way salary.
