With the new Nick Foligno contract, the hawks might be right in line with making it to the salary floor. Still need to re-up Kurashev (also ignore the lines I didn’t really put much thought into them)

Foligno for 4m looks crazy. But I like it for Chicago. Foligno is one of the best leaders in the game. They definitely got him to really help build a competitive work ethic for the year and moving forward. He will be a great guy to help take care of Bedard.

Hall is also a great add. Being a 1st overall pick himself, he can relate with the pressure that Bedard is going to have on him.

Great moves by Chicago in my mind.

Agreed. Probably double what he'd get as a UFA but for one year I like it a lot!

I'm curious if this changes things in KD's / Kaner's minds. They each made their statements about not coming back prior to winning the lottery. With the Tarasenko rumors...Hawks ability to pay Kaner's worth...helping Bedard while Kaner also moving up the Blackhawks milestones... Curious if it's possible now. That would solve the #1RW position for sure.
