I would pay a mid rounder at most for Laughton. If that’s his price, just dip into UFA

I don't understand the hype for Laughton. I'd rather just play Foote at 3LW

Hawks probably decline. Don't see them using any of their 2nd rounders in trades unless it's to move up in the draft. Saw a deal earlier for Sharangovich to Hawks for the '23 Dallas 3rd and Landon Slaggert, which is a deal the Hawks probably accept.

He is what you want for a 3rd line on a winning team.

I seriously doubt the Hawks decline this tbh. 4 2nd rounders in the draft they have more than enough capital to afford an easy bet like this. The team needs players to play with Bedard next season. Who are going to be his wings? Johnson and another rookie? At least Sharangovich has a history of success playing with Jack Hughes.. not to mention he’s still pretty young and can play specials. I may be Biased but I feel like Chicago would be all over Sharangovich. Especially considering they have more than enough draft capital to get him while still keeping most of their picks.

He hasn’t been on a winning team since the bubble. He’s one of the most replaceable kinds of 3rd liners out there

Oh I forgot you’re the guy with the brainworm infestation.
Never mind, your bad take checks out, considering your condition 😂

I see your train of thought but that type of trade would make more sense when the Hawks near the end of the rebuild & they know which prospects are working out & which are not. That is the time to plug holes.
I will choose to but my faith in Davidson to figure out how to get wingers for Bedard w/o giving up a 2nd rounder in the deepest draft in years for a guy that will be ready to be a UFA when they start turning the corner.
