Seems pretty fair to me. Habs get the better, younger player. Canucks get a better pick. Van is the one taking a cap dump here.

Please dont be stupid a rebuilding team isnt going to pay a top 40 pick for a 26 year old in the least valuable 2 years left window.

Not really. Fabbro is expendable with Liningstone and others coming in. Myers is a vet that can be flipped again with further retention or kept for potential playoff depth. The 3rd is a food return for his remaining cap hit, which Nashville has the space to absorb.

NSH declines. No need for Myers and we have no incentive to move Fabbro, especially for Myers

These are both examples of trying to force a trade that doesn't work for either team. Both decline without any further consideration.
