Why don’t you tell me what’s wrong or what it would take in your opinion to make this work instead of just saying hard pass

We need a coach who preaches Defense, instead all offense, and someone to kick these guys in the pants instead of patting them on the back, for embarrassments like last night.

To get Saros it starts at multiple first round picks and a top prospect like Quinn or Krebs.

Always hard to gauge goalie values but I'd assume it starts with Savoie/Ostlund and a 2023 1st. Adding to that a fill-in goalie like Comrie and a roster player that Nashville likes (Olofsson, Mitts, Joki etc.) and maybe a 2nd.

Nobody's giving you that. Keep Saros and enjoy being the 10th team in the west for the next decade+

This basically what I offered. Could swap out poltapov and add ostlund. We can get this done without totally damaging our future.

That’s cute coming from a buffalo fan lol. But you are right that’s to much. I’d do savioe and a 23 1st for saros. I honestly think saros would turn you guys into a legit contender. Saros is the only reason we’re not a bottom 5 team right now. Losing savioe and a 1st isn’t that much coming from an already young team who would get vezina caliber goalie

A 2nd might be fair value for Foligno in a vacuum, but Guerin would never give him up for that. Would take a 1st (maybe +) to get him away from Guerin. Guerin adores that guy.

It would cost you a first and a blue chip prospect to acquire a vezina caliber goalie. The first is the centrepiece here, but not much else is super enticing.

I think that a 1st and a top prospect isn’t enough for a Vezina caliber goalie. He’s only 27 he’s on a very friendly contract for 2 more years. The only thing I can see that won’t net you more is the fact it’s not a longer term deal in place.

Yea I don’t think you get much more than that. You might want a bigger return but I don’t think a team pays it

To be fair when I say a first and a blue chip prospect, I mean that being the centrepiece of the deal. I don't want to be the homer fan who massively overrates his players - but Saros IS one of the top goalies in the league.

The Horvat deal saw Raty, Beau, and a 1st. I think we'd get something in that ballpark.
Blue chip prospect, a 1st, and a young roster player.

Either way, nobody is paying that, and Nashville won't let him go cheap. The bye product is mediocrity

2 firsts for a vezina caliber goalie on a fair deal isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

No. Savoie/Ostlund are way better prospects than Poltapov and a 2023 1st is more valuable than a 2024 1st. The trade you proposed lacks anything enticing for Nashville imo
