Too risky of goalie tandem. That 3rd pair wouldn’t do too well either.

your giving a 3rd round pick to Montreal for Webers contract? Same with Bishop, your buying his contract? I guess Detroit will have to sign Dekeyser and ship him to buffalo for another draft pick...

If we could afford Olofsson I'd do it. Sabres get a nice RHD for the third pair and decent backup.

You haven't really helped the Rangers cap with the trade. M NTC Nemeth can easily block any trade to team with cap space.

Weber's contract is insured, so its an asset. Teams can use it to get to the cap floor without spending any $. Not sure about Bishop's contract though

Can't see any reason the Blues would do that.

UPL isnt a starter and may be in the A again next year. Georgiev isnt good. The Sabres only need a decent goalie, that should be their focus

Buffalo isn’t looking to take on every team’s bad salaries for mid round picks.

    Florida trade sure.

Weber, Kassian, and the Rangers trades I would decline. Plus Olofsson is likely looking at 4x5mil

The Bishop trade only is useful if we are in dire need to cap. Much rather overpay a goalie 2 years however

I've been happy with adams overall, but his goalie decisions have been suspect (save for levi, who is still very much a prospect). I think of upl as a guy who will be competing with two other guys for two positions. I want a solid veteran goalie and maybe one other question mark, but I wanna see who the solid vet is before looking at the scratch and dent question marks.

Little went for a 4th rd pick. Weber's cap hit is bigger (i.e. more valuable for a team looking to get to the floor)($7.85 v. $5.29) and is FAR less in actual cash ($3 million this year, $1 million for every year thereafter v. $4.75 and $3.75), so yea I think it's a 3rd round pick to get Weber's contract.

Blues decline. We have no cap space for him. We're right up against it this summer. Even if we weren't, a 3rd and a 4th feels rich for me for a 35 year old rental.

Taking LTIR rights helps Buffalo reach the salary floor.

I can see why we’d do it like 5 years ago
