Hawks get absolutely fleeced in this deal. Isles take this in a heart beat. No chance.

Yeah... no. I understand that you want to shed Anisimov's contract, but this is a terrible trade for the Blackhawks.

I like the trade and also that the d pairs are handedness balanced. I would prefer either Schmaltz or Kero to be the 2LC, tho. Cizikas seems to be more of a bottom six centerman. Or better yet, with almost $5M in cap space (minus the bonus overages), maybe Bowman can find another big center to play on Kane's line. You know, one who can win draws! Nice job, nick!

This trade does not help the Hawks. No reason they would do it

Agreed with points said. The d pairings are much much better and much deeper. Hawks don't get fleeced.

The guy can't win draws. Hawks are a puck possession team. He either improves his draws, moves to the wing, or gets out.

How so? No one explains themselves besides grader who understands the Hawks need to balance out the d core.

My man, I love the enthusiasm and that you're trying to think outside the box, but look at this team.

Pekka Rinne had as many points as any Hawk player in the playoffs and we're going backwards...with the forwards....Pun Intended... We have (3) 2nd year players and (3) 3rd years players in the bottom 6.
Hossa spent this season on the 3rd and it's safe to say he belongs there. He can play possession but he has no speed and would get schooled on the top line. Not saying he's a bad player at all, we just confirmed this year he can't play the top line anymore.
This team also has no physical presence at all in any of the forward lines. What's going to happen when they play Florida, St. Louis, Anaheim, San Jose the list goes on. Toews would be the only physical player and he's not close to an enforcer nor should he be @ $10.5M
Anisimov can play LW as he's done on previous teams, BUT his Face Off win % is 45.1% which is exactly what tells me you're basing this entire post off 4 games. I'm not saying he's Bergeron at the dot, but lets not say faceoffs are the only stat that matters. EDM has McDavid and RNH who are both worse than Anisimov at the dot, yet they're doing pretty good. Oh and Antione Vermette is actually really good at faceoffs, but was a healthy scratch quite a bit with the Hawks.
This is over valuing Travis Hamonic. he's a fine player, but even on a terrible defense like the Isles have...he's a 2nd pair guy, how would he be a top pairing guy on the Hawks? I'm all for getting a younger Dman. I would look elsewhere. Maybe Ghost with Philly? Or even Aneheim who has a ton of young Dmen. Is it worth trading Panarin or Debricant? It's worth looking in to.

The idea outside the box and i can tell what you're trying to do, but...

Any team in the league would take this deal from the NYI side. The Hawks are getting absolutely fleeced here.
You trade AA, someone who averages 40 point and 20 goals per season (nearly 60 this year), for someone who averages 30 and 10. Anisimov was 45% at the faceoff dot this year. Do you realize what that comes out to per game? He loses less than 1.5 faceoffs more than he wins per game. And you're going to sit here and tell me that's why a player needs to be traded. There is almost no logic behind that. Anisimov is a much better asset than Cizikas. This is clearly based off of playoff games, which by the way, Anisimov hasn't been 100% either year with the Hawks. He went from averaging nearly 18 minutes of ice time per game to getting less than 15 in the last playoff game. The guy was injured. Plain and simple.
Panarin is worth Hamonic, Dal Colle (a prospect), and a middle 1st rounder in a weak draft by himself.
And then you throw in another 20+ goal scorer on top.
So after the trade the Hawks have what, four proven NHL scorers? One of which is 38-39 years old.
That makes sense because the Hawks scored enough in the playoffs they just couldn't keep the puck out of the net. Oh, wait...

My idea here,
Keep AA and play him on the left wing.
Trade Panarin for Hamonic and Dal Colle. No pick.
Trade Panik for a #2-3C. A big body who can play the Anisimov role between Schmaltz (or DeBrincat) and Kane. Or Resign him and play him on a line with Toews and Anisimov (power-forward line)
