Why give up a young cost controlled top 4 rhd for a ufa to be rhd dman we won’t be able to pay what he wants in the off-season?
I figure someone is going to overpay for Klingberg because of his offensive capability. it's really looking at matching up with Colorado. I think Nashville can beat Minnesota and/or St. Louis, but I don't if they can match Colorado's firepower, but maybe a rejuvenated Klingberg could help? It may be an overpay but I think it's a move Nashville's is willing to risk with the way they are going this year.

Also, I don't watch Nashville, so I am not as familiar with Carrier's play. I know he's a good defencemen but I wasn't aware he was exactly top 4.

Enter the year aiming to get younger and hope that we don’t suck… doesn’t seem like we’d be willing to majorly overpay for a couple weeks of a dman.
Honestly, that is a fair point. It really comes down to what their brass thinks about their team. This is entirely hypothetical.
True . I honestly think we are overachieving and will come down to earth at some point and spend any major futures is likely a big mistake (especially for rentals)
